UPDATE: Suspect Caught On Video Stealing Expensive Sculpture From NYC Gallery Arrested
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD says the man who stole an expensive sculpture from a gallery on Central Park South has been arrested.
Surveillance video captured the suspect casually walking right out of the front door of the gallery with the sculpture in hand on Thursday.
Authorities say 61-year-old Zoltan Genc walked out of the Galeries Bartoux gallery with the pricey piece around 4:30 p.m. that day.
The sculpture is part of artist Fred Allard's shopping bag collection, and is valued at $16,000.
Genc has been charged with grand larceny.
