NYPD: William Klare accused of drawing swastika at yoga studio in Sheepshead Bay
NEW YORK -- A suspect has been arrested in connection with a hate crime in Brooklyn.
Police say 40-year-old William Klare, of the Bronx, trashed a yoga studio in Sheepshead Bay on July 18 after getting in through an open door.
Klare is accused of causing extensive damage, including drawing a swastika on a chalkboard, damaging religious items and removing prayer documents.
"I feel violated, so just like when somebody gets into your home and just like that's what, something like that, it makes you feel a little bit ... unsettled and just violated," yoga studio owner Katia Iva said.
Police say the suspect is facing burglary as a hate crime and aggravated harassment.
