NYPD Officer Rescues Dog After Grand Central Parkway Accident
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An NYPD officer went out of her way Monday to rescue a pup in need.
The NYPD 110th Precinct shared photos via Twitter Monday of Officer Mezziouso saving a dog after it was hit by a car on the Grand Central Parwkay in Queens.

Police said Mezziouso and her partner, Officer Morinia-Blocker, took the rescued pup to an American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals hospital in the city.
The dog was healing from a broken leg late Monday night.
