NYPD: Homeless Man Arrested For Attempted Rape On Queens Hiking Trail
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A homeless man is facing charges in connection to an attempted rape at a park in Queens.
Police said Cuauhtemoc Cardenas, 32, is accused of attacking a 51-year-old woman on a trail in Forest Park on Saturday afternoon.
Investigators said the suspect hit the woman's head, pushed her into bushes and started choking her.
The suspect ran away after the woman fought back and screamed for help, according to police.
The woman was treated at the hospital.
