The fantastic glow-in-the-dark dancers iLuminate are performing their theatrical show Artist of Light this Monday at New World Stages. Before they hit the big time, iLuminate got their break as finalists on "America's Got Talent." The group has since gone on to work with some of the biggest names in music, like Christina Aguilera, The Black Eyed Peas and Cobra Starship. Artist of Light tells the story of a talented artist named Jacob. Despite his talent, Jacob is very insecure until he discovers a magic paintbrush that brings his character to life! The show begins at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are going for $102 and up online.

Celebrate Veteran's Day

Date: Tuesday, November 11

Take in New York City's Veteran's Day Parade this Tuesday. The largest Veteran's Day vvent in the nation starts on Fifth Avenue and 24th Street at 11:25 a.m. and goes until 3:30 p.m. This year's parade's "Land of the Free , Home of the Brave" theme is in honor of the 200th anniversary of the "Star Spangled Banner." Over 600,00 spectators are expected to be on hand so get there early to get the best view possible. Show Some Kindness

November 13th is World Kindness Day, celebrate this selfless holiday by volunteering with NYC Service. NYC Service sets people up with opportunities to help out New York City using nothing more than their time, passion and skills. One of their many ongoing programs is called "Rebuilding Together NYC" which allows volunteers to help build safe, healthy housing for low-income homes and community centers in all five boroughs. Start Your Weekend Off With A Brew

Reward yourself for another work week in the books by heading to The Jeffrey on 311 East 60th Street. The Jeffrey has a wide selection of local and international brews to choose from which includes five beers brewed in the Empire State. The SY1 is brewed right here in the city by the Transmitter Brewery in Queens. This 14 ounce saison style beer has a sweet, tart smell that some patrons have compared to cotton candy. See Shawn Mendes At The Best Buy Theatre

Sixteen-year-old pop-music sensation Shawn Mendes is coming to the Best Buy Theatre this Saturday following the release of his debut album The Shawn Mendes EP. The Canadian born singer has sold over 48,000 albums and has climbed to the number five spot on both the U.S. Billboard Hot 200 and the Canadian Hot 100. His first single, "Life of the Party," has also crossed the U.S.-Canadian border peaking at number 24 in the U.S. and number 9 in The Great White North. The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. and tickets start at $25.
