6/11 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Hello everyone, hope your weekend is off to a great start! After a dry start around the region, things will unsettle as we head toward this evening.
A warm front approaching from the south will bring a quick jump in the humidity, along with scattered showers and storms. Some could be strong to severe, mainly between about 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. We're under a slight risk for severe weather today, with the main threats being strong winds, small hail, and brief downpours. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s, approaching 90 for some in central NJ!
The good news is we clear out quickly overnight as a cold front moves through early tomorrow. The humidity drops and temps top out around 80. It will be breezy though, with gusts up to 30-35 mph at times.
The week ahead is looking very nice... plenty of sunshine and as of now, it looks dry!
