3/23 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

With the exception of a stray shower north, our skies will look decent around the area this afternoon, especially south. Expect temperatures to spike in the upper 60's to nearly 70° -- about 15 degrees above normal!

Some clouds will linger to the north of the city into tonight. Temps will fall to around 50 degrees by daybreak.

Coastal communities and areas north and east will likely be a little cooler tomorrow as a cold front tries to push through. As for areas south and west, it will still be warm with highs well into the 60's.

Another cold front will send some showers our way late tomorrow night into Friday. The wettest period looks to be the morning, but we may very well see some showers and light rain spill into the afternoon. Highs that day will be in the low to mid 60's.

As for the holiday weekend, it looks like sunshine will hang on from start to finish with highs in the mid to upper 50's.
