Labor Day weekend forecast

Saturday brings with it an increase in humidity levels, warmer temperatures and a renewed chance of thunderstorms. The thunder threat looks to hold off until much later though, making for a mostly dry day, with highs in the low to mid 80s.

When those storms arrive Saturday night, some of them may be on the stronger side, containing heavy rain and strong winds, with the greatest chances reserved for areas north and west of the city.

The threat of storms carries into the overnight hours of Saturday and early Sunday morning, then once again on Sunday afternoon.

Overall, the holiday weekend does not look like a washout by any means. It will feel quite summery, with decent breaks of sunshine, and lots of humidity in place. Peak heating looks to occur on Sunday, as highs surge into the mid and upper 80s.

The best weather will be saved for last, however. Labor Day is set to feature lots of sunshine, lowering humidity and highs in the 70s, solidifying a perfect end to summer.
