5/6 CBS2 Friday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

Rain will taper this afternoon, but you'll still need the umbrella. Expect another cool one with temperatures only getting into the low-to-mid 50s.

Light rain and drizzle will linger through the rush, so keep that umbrella handy. And we'll have to keep in a light rain/drizzle chance through the evening with just a shower here and there into the overnight hours; some fog will develop, as well. Temps will fall to about 50° by sunrise.

Also worth mentioning... coastal flooding concerns tonight with minor to more widespread moderate flooding expected (see image).

We'll see some fog tomorrow morning along with a lingering shower chance, but unlike in recent days, the clouds should break up and deliver us a little more sunshine into the afternoon. Highs tomorrow will be in the low to mid 60's.

A cold front will then swing through late Saturday night into Sunday morning. As of now, it looks like the bulk of the rain should be out of here by early to mid morning, so expect early showers and clouds giving way to sunshine -- good news for all the moms out there! Highs that day will be in the upper 60's.
