NYC Cancels All Large Events Requiring City Permit Through September

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York City is canceling all large events that require a permit through Sept. 30.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says the city is working to prioritize open spaces for public use and continue social distancing.

No permits will be issued for any event in a location that has an Open Streets or Open Restaurant program.

They'll also be denied for events larger than one block.
