North Bergen Family Terrorized By Masked Men During Home Invasion

NORTH BERGEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a family in North Bergen was tied up and terrorized by four masked men early Thursday morning and the suspects are still on the loose.

As CBS 2's Christine Sloan reported Friday, Rolando said the suspects broke into his home, dragged him out of bed from a deep sleep and pistol whipped him.

He said the attack was so brutal, there's an imprint of the barrel of the gun on his head.

And attack didn't end there. "He tied up my wife and my father in-law too," Rolando said.

Police said the home invasion was a case of mistaken identity. "He asking for money and drug. No money, no drug," Rolando said of the ordeal.

Rolando said the suspects wouldn't listen and tied him up, but he was able to untie himself and ran to a neighbor's house for help, Sloan reported. The suspects were so startled, they took off.

Police said they have gathered evidence from the house, including a glove and a crowbar.
