NJ TRANSIT Train Derails, Snags Montclair-Boonton Line
MONTCLAIR, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- An NJ TRANSIT train derailed during the Tuesday evening rush in Montclair, New Jersey.
The 6:20 p.m. train on the Montclair-Boonton Line derailed between the Bay Street and Walnut Street stations in Montclair, NJ TRANSIT told CBS 2.
A total of 100 customers were onboard at the time. No one was injured.
Another train picked up the passengers about 30 to 40 minutes later, NJ TRANSIT said.
NJ TRANSIT classified the incident as a "slow-speed derailment."
As of mid-evening Tuesday, the line was experiencing delays of about 30 minutes.
