New Jersey Transit Lifts Mask Mandate For Outdoor Train Platforms, Bus Stops
TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- New Jersey Transit has become the first transportation agency in our area to lift COVID mask mandates, but there's a catch.
NJ TRANSIT says face coverings are no longer required at train platforms and bus stops that are outdoors. That means commuters are free to take off their masks if they're outside.
Masks are still required on trains and buses and inside stations.
A spokesperson says the new rule is consistent with state and federal guidelines.
