Roof, Top Floor Of Abandoned Building Collapse In Newark

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- The roof and uppermost floor of an abandoned building collapsed in Newark late Tuesday, leaving a pile of bricks on the ground.

The bricks came down around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the building at South 8th Street and 15th Avenue in Newark, with a large roar and a cloud of dust, Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2.

The topmost floor and the roof collapsed to the street, Biermann reported.

Three people suffered minor injuries, officials said.
