Sunny, chilly start for NYC Marathon runners Sunday. Here's the First Alert Forecast.
Saturday, temperatures returned to normal levels for early November after being at late summer levels for several days.
Frost advisories in effect in parts of Tri-State Area
As we turn the clocks back, cold temperatures are ahead. Some areas that haven't seen frost yet will do so overnight Saturday into Sunday, as lows plunge into the 30s and even some 20s across the region. The city will be the hotspot, only dropping into the low 40s.
A frost advisory is in effect for Suffolk, eastern Bergen, Essex, Union, coastal Fairfield and Westchester counties from 1-8 a.m. Sunday.
NYC Marathon forecast
A chilly start to Sunday should not affect the marathon runners though. Sun filled skies will be in place once again, with highs in the mid to upper 50s.
Wildfire threat continues
Several wildfires are burning across the region, as the drought continues to worsen. With little to no rain expected through next week, the threat of additional wildfires developing will remain high.
An extra hour of sleep!
Don't forget daylight saving time ends this weekend. Remember to "fall back" an hour at 2:00 a.m. Sunday. Sunset on Sunday will be at 4:49 p.m.
