Mets Fans Have Worst Grammar In Baseball, Study Says
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York Mets fans are as passionate as they come. But they leave something to be desired at the keyboard.
According to a Wall Street Journal study, fans of the Amazin's are the worst in baseball when it comes to grammatical mistakes, with 13.9 errors per 100 words published in comments to the team's website.
The results, compiled for the Journal by the website Grammarly, had the Phillies coming in second-worst with 13.5 mistakes per 100 words, followed by the Astros (12.7) and Royals (12.4). New York Yankees fans came in fifth-worst (12.1).
Fans of the Cleveland Indians made the fewest errors with 3.6 per 100 words.
