Quemuel Arroyo Appointed As MTA's First All-Agency Chief Accessibility Officer

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The MTA just announced its first all-agency chief accessibility officer.

The role goes to Quemuel Arroyo.

The MTA says his primary responsibility will be handling all matters pertaining to accessibility.

That includes making sure the system meets the needs of all riders, including those with disabilities, and increasing access where needed.

Arroyo previously had a similar role for the city's Department of Transportation.
