Man Hospitalized After George Washington Bridge Crash
FORT LEE, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A motorist has been hospitalized after his van collided with a tractor-trailer on the George Washington Bridge.
Port Authority police say the crash occurred around 8:15 a.m. Sunday on the upper level of the bridge in Fort Lee, N.J., when the van struck the rear of the truck.
The van driver, identified only as a 50-year-old man, had to be extricated from the vehicle. Police said his injuries were not considered life-threatening, but further details were not disclosed.
No charges have been filed, but the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
