Historic Milleridge Inn On Long Island To Remain Open
JERICHO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A historic inn on Long Island has been saved from the chopping block.
CBS2 learned Friday that the Milleridge Inn in Jericho has a new operator.
Back in September, the owner of the venue – a familiar spot for family gatherings – announced his retirement and decided to sell the land to a private company.
More than 10,000 loyal patrons signed a petition to save the restaurant.
With the new operator in place, 175 jobs have been saved.
The Milleridge Inn dates back to the 1600s and is a popular spot for family gatherings.
