5 Fun Facts About Indiana Governor Mike Pence

As Donald Trump's search for a Vice President comes to a head, Indiana's Governor Mike Pence seems to be a front-runner. Pence introduced Trump at a recent rally in Indiana, and offered his support.

Due to an unexpected plane malfunction, the Trump family was forced to spend another day in the Hoosier state. The following morning Trump and his family met at the Pence resident for breakfast. The meal added to the widespread speculation of Pence being added to the ballot as Trump's running mate. 

In order for Pence to be eligible for the position, he would have to withdraw his name from the Indiana gubernatorial election. He has until July 15 to name a replacement candidate.

As the country waits patiently on his decision, here are five fun facts you did not know about the potential candidate for Vice President, Mike Pence:

1.     Governor Pence not only helps bring home the bacon, but it is also his favorite food. 

2.     Pence is an animal lover. He and his wife, Karen, have a beagle named Maverick and two cats named Pickle and Oreo.

3.     His favorite ice cream is moose tracks. Who wouldn't love ice cream filled with fudge and peanut butter cups?

4.     His favorite movie is the American classic, Wizard of Oz. 

5.     Pence was a talk radio show host before going into politics. His show was called 'The Mike Pence Show', and it aired on 18 stations throughout Indiana.
