Several Injured In Midtown Stabbings, Police Investigating
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating after several people were stabbed in Midtown on Monday night.
The first incident happened around 9:30 p.m.
Police say according to their preliminary investigation, a fight broke out in front of a restaurant at 41st Street and Eighth Avenue.
Three people were stabbed, but police said none of their injuries were life-threatening. All three were taken into custody.
UPDATE: During an ongoing dispute involving a knife, 3 people involved suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds. The suspects are in custody. All information is preliminary.

Witness Mohammed Choudhary told CBS2's Valerie Castro one of the victims was being beaten with a metal object.
Choudhary works across the street from the scene of the incident and noticed several people fighting. One person was allegedly beating another with a tire iron or metal wrench while another egged him on.
"He was on the ground, so one guy ... he take it out and he hit the guy very badly like two or three times. The same time, the cops come and they say, stop stop, get on the ground, and after they control everything," Choudhary said.
Police say also around 9:30 p.m., two people were found stabbed in front of a hotel at 46th Street and Sixth Avenue. Their conditions are unknown.
At this time, police do believe the two incidents are connected.
