Michael Cohen testifies before grand jury investigating Donald Trump
NEW YORK -- Michael Cohen, the former personal attorney for Donald Trump, testified Monday before a grand jury.
Cohen arrived in Lower Manhattan in morning and he's expected to return on Wednesday.
The Manhattan district attorney is investigating hush money paid during the 2016 presidential campaign to an adult film star Stormy Daniels. Cohen claims he helped Trump make the payments.
"This is not revenge," Cohen said. "I don't want to see anyone, including Donald Trump indicted, prosecuted, convicted, incarcerated simply because I fundamentally disagree with them. This is all about accountability. He needs to be held accountable for his dirty deeds."

"There should be a healthy dose of disgust from the bar, the legal community, prosecutors, defense lawyers alike. It's not what we do. We are distorting laws to try to bag President Trump," Trump attorney Joseph Tacopina said.
Trump has also been subpoenaed, but the attorney who now represents the former president says his client will not testify before the grand jury.
