NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The 7 Line Army is hitting the road again. And this time they're going coast to coast.

The Mets die-hards will have a group nearly 400 strong -- a sea of blue -- when they invade AT&T Park in San Francisco for Saturday's game against the Giants.

"I don't think it's a stretch to say that The 7 Line Army is the largest traveling group in all of baseball," said Darren Meenan, founder of Mets-themed apparel brand The 7 Line. "I've never heard of anything like this, ever."

Meenan said tickets were bought by fans in 17 states, including Alaska, for what will be by far the group's furthest trip from point to point.

The Douglaston native has also organized outings to the Bronx, Philadelphia, Chicago, Miami and, of course, Flushing. The block is often quick to sell out, but that doesn't mean fans are shut out. Though you won't get a commemorative T-shirt, if you can find a seat, you're more than welcome.

"Last weekend in Philly, Mets fans that were in the stadium saw us up there and they wanted to be a part of it," Meenan said. "Our section grew as the game went on. It was pretty cool. The more the merrier."

The next trip is to Miami on June 21. It's sold out. After that is a home game July 12 with a postgame concert by Huey Lewis & the News, and some tickets are still available. But not many.

"I definitely see it growing," said Meenan, who reached a licensing deal with MLB this offseason, resulting in a kiosk at Citi Field. "For a team that's playing under .500 consistently for the past few years, our group's only getting bigger and bigger.

"If by some chance in the next year or so the Mets are making a run at the playoffs, our group is gonna be insane."
