Glitch Hits MetroCard Machines In Roughly 100 Stations Monday
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - If you weren't able to refill your MetroCard in the New York City subway this morning, you weren't alone.
The New York City Transit Authority told CBS2 a Verizon issue caused trouble at MetroCard machines in about 100 stations Monday.
Credit and debit card transactions couldn't be made.
Some MVM's unable to process credit/debit transaction at several stations. We are working to correct & apologize for the inconvenience.

The issue was resolved by Monday afternoon.
All stations affected by an earlier communications problem impacting Debit/Credit sales at MVMs are now back on line.

No word on what caused the outage.
