NYPD: Man In Custody After Barricading Himself In Bathroom At Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was taken into custody after barricading himself inside a bathroom at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital late Thursday night.
The incident started just before 10 p.m. at the hospital on East 67th Street, CBS2's Cory James reports.
Investigators say 65-year-old Joseph Gill barricaded himself in a bathroom and fired shots towards officers.
No one was hurt.

Sources tell CBS2 the terminally ill man was seeking a hospital bed but could not get one before he pulled out the gun.
Gill's son was able to convince him to surrender. He was taken into police custody, then taken to Bellevue for evaluation.
Gill faces attempted murder charges.
Portions of the hospital were evacuated during the incident, and other portions of the hospital were told to shelter in place, according to police.
