Mother, Grown Son Killed, Second Man Wounded In Mariners Harbor, Staten Island Shooting
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman and her adult son are dead, and another man was critically injured, in a shooting Thursday evening in the Mariners Harbor section of Staten Island.
Around 6:30 p.m., the victims were shot at 14 Roxbury St. outside a public housing development, police said.
At the scene, officers found a 47-year-old woman shot in the head, a 21-year-old man shot in the face, and a 22-year-old man shot in the left leg, police said.
The man and woman with the most serious injuries -- who police said were mother and son -- were rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.
The 22-year-old man was in critical, but stable, condition at the same hospital, police said.
The identities of the man and woman who were killed were being withheld pending family notification late Thursday.
The investigation continued.
