Marijuana-Clogged Toilet Leads To Arrest Of 3 Brooklyn Men

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (CBSNewYork/AP) - A toilet clogged with marijuana has led to drug charges against three New York City men.

Police tell media outlets that the suspects attempted to flush the marijuana down the toilet when officers knocked on an apartment door in Martinsburg.

The Martinsburg officers retrieved an unknown amount of marijuana from the toilet. They also seized crack cocaine found under a kitchen stove.

Police say the officers went to the apartment in response to a domestic disturbance report and a drug complaint.

Twenty-year-old Sharkeel Narrista Heslop, 22-year-old Silbert Owen Nicholson and 21-year-old Rayon Robert Gordon, all of Brooklyn, each face felony drug possession and conspiracy charges.

Police arrested the men Friday night. They remained at the Eastern Regional on Monday. Jail records didn't indicate whether they have attorneys.
