PD: NJ Man Caught On Camera Stealing Trump Signs For His Own Lawn
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A Hackettstown man was caught on surveillance video stealing campaign signs, which he later placed on his own lawn just a short drive away, according to authorities.
The "Trump/Pence" and "Hillary For Prison" signs were stolen Friday from the front yard of a home on Main Street, police said.
The homeowner's security camera recorded the alleged thief and his vehicle.
On Sunday, an officer spotted the signs and the vehicle outside of a home on East Valley View Avenue, police said.
Authorities determined that Christopher Buckley, 28, stole the signs to place them on his own lawn. He was charged with disorderly conduct.
