Man Stabbed In Neck, Killed In Broad Daylight In East Harlem
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was stabbed in the neck and killed in broad daylight in Marcus Garvey Park in East Harlem on Friday.
As 1010 WINS' Gary Baumgarten reported, police said the victim is a 41-year-old man who was stabbed in the neck at the park at 124th Street and Madison Avenue.
The man ran across the street before he collapsed in a pool of blood at the entrance to an apartment building, police said.
The man was pronounced dead shortly afterward at Harlem Hospital Center, police said.
A man named Maurice is a friend of the victim.
"He was OK, you know, he got along as far as I know. I ain't never known him to have a problem with anybody," Maurice said.
But Maurice also told him the man said just the other day that somebody hated him. But Maurice said the man did not tell him more.
As of Friday night, there were no arrests in the case and the investigation continued.
