Man Slashed In Broad Daylight Along Broadway In Inwood
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was slashed in an attack on busy Broadway in Inwood in broad daylight Wednesday.
Around 11:25 a.m., the man was attacked in front of the building at 5030 Broadway, police told CBS2. The building houses Manhattan Mini Storage and various storefronts.
Police told DNAInfo that the suspects robbed the man of $500 and slashed him across the chest as he walked out of the pharmacy on the ground floor of the building. He had bought a lottery ticket at the pharmacy and left, the publication reported.
The man was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital Bronx, where he was reported in serious condition, police told CBS2.
The suspects fled north on Broadway in a gray vehicle, DNAInfo reported. There were no reports of arrests late Wednesday.
