Man Shot To Death In Florida Mall Identified As NJ Restaurateur
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man shot to death inside a Florida mall this weekend has been identified as a well-known New Jersey chef and restaurant owner.
On Saturday, Leonardo Coppola, 36, came to the defense of a woman being threatened by her husband in the food court of the Melbourne Square Mall, police said.
The husband opened fire, wounding his wife and killing Coppola before taking his own life, police said.
Coppola worked in Mercer County, most recently at Padrino's Bistro and Steakhouse in Hamilton. He also owned a restaurant inside the Florida mall, where he was killed.
