68-Year-Old Man Hit With Brick In Bronx Robbery, Police Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a suspect after a man was hit in the head with a brick during a violent robbery in the Bronx early Sunday morning.

Police say the suspect struck a 68-year-old man in the head with a brick as the victim was walking on Hoe Avenue at around 3:15 a.m.

The suspect took the victim's cell phone and wallet after the victim fell to the ground, police say.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.

Police say the suspect was last seen wearing an orange track jacket, a camouflage black bag, a hat and sneakers. Surveillance images of the suspect can be viewed above.
