Man Dies In Single-Car Crash Into Home
HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Long Island are investigating a crash that left one man dead after his vehicle struck a house in Suffolk County Saturday morning.
Authorities say James A. Burke was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck eastbound on East 3rd Street just before noon when his vehicle veered off the road, went through a fence, and struck the home at 36 East 3rd street.
The Huntington native was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was 76-years-old.
Police believe he may have suffered a medical event prior to the crash.
