Man Chokes, Robs Bronx Parking Attendant

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man they say choked and robbed a Bronx parking garage attendant Thursday evening.

According to authorities, the man was depicted on surveillance footage entering the Reyer Parking Garage on East Tremont Avenue.

Once inside, he approached a 54-year-old male employee.

The suspect asked the employee for his vehicle. When the employee asked the suspect for his receipt, the suspect choked the employee, causing the employee to lose consciousness according to police.

While the employee was unconscious, the suspect removed an undetermined amount of cash and a car key from the employee's pocket, according to police.

The male suspect fled the garage towards Leland Avenue. He is described as black, approximately 6'2" tall, between 230 and 250 pounds, with a bald spot on his head.

He was last seen wearing white sneakers, a black jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt, and gray sweatpants.
