Man Charged With Killing Woman, Reportedly Wife, In Bronx Home
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man has been arrested and charged with killing a woman inside a home in the Pelham Garden section of the Bronx.
Around noon on Sunday, police were sent to a home in the 1500 block of Astor Avenue in the Bronx, where they found a 57-year-old woman unconscious and unresponsive with a puncture wound to her left armpit and shoulder blade, police said.
The woman – identified as Cynthia Migliozzi – was pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center a short time later, police said.
On Monday, police said the woman's death was a homicide, and arrested Martin Migliozzi, 56, of the same address. He was charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police did not specify the relationship between Cynthia and Martin Migliozzi, but a New York Daily News report said they were wife and husband.
