Man Arrested In Long Island Traffic Stop Also Accused In Connecticut Bank Robbery
LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A driver who was arrested on Long Island has been identified by police as a suspect in a Connecticut bank robbery.
Shawn Twomey, of Norwich, Connecticut was being held at the Nassau County jail following his Feb. 15 arrest, according to Newsday.
Twomey had been stopped on the Northern State Parkway in Lake Success and was arrested on drug and driving charges.
Connecticut state police then notified New York officials of a Feb. 14 robbery of at a Citizens Bank in East Lyme.
Twomey now also faces robbery and larceny charges in Connecticut in connection with that case.
Information on his attorney was not immediately available.
