Man and woman attacked by person wielding hammer in Queens, police say
NEW YORK -- Police are looking for whoever attacked a man and woman with a hammer on Christmas in Queens.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday at 37th Avenue and 93rd Street in Jackson Heights.
Police said a 22-year-old woman was hit in the head, and a 29-year-old man was treated for back pain.
They were both taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
It wasn't immediately clear what led up to the attack. Police said the suspect and victims did not know each other.
So far, no arrests have been made.
