Louis C.K. Shadows Mayor de Blasio At Mental Health Policy, Finance Meetings

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Comedian Louis C.K. has apparently taken an interest in municipal matters, shadowing Mayor Bill de Blasio during meetings to discuss mental health initiatives and the city's finances.

The Daily News reported the star of FX Networks' "Louie" attended a meeting at the Financial Control Board at Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Midtown office, quietly sitting in the back and taking notes.

He then attended a meeting of City Hall staffers about mental health.

Mayor de Blasio and Louis C.K. have some history. In March, the actor-comedian appeared at the annual Inner Circle show.

De Blasio also presented honors to Louis C.K. at the Made in NY Awards this past November, along with Steve Buscemi, Neil Patrick Harris, Albert Maysles, Stanley Nelson, Rosie Perez, and Jane Raab.

Asked about the visit, de Blasio, "There's a lot of comedy at City Hall," the newspaper reported.

The newspaper said Louis C.K. is preparing for an upcoming project.
