Long Island Woman Accused Of Driving Drunk With 11-Year-Old In Car
EAST NORTHPORT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island woman was arrested Thursday after she was allegedly caught driving drunk with her 11-year-old daughter in the car.
A witness called around 6 p.m. Thursday to report that someone was driving a 2014 Volkswagen Passat around in the parking lot of 200 Larkfield Rd. in East Northport, and was drunk, police said.
Suffolk County Second Precinct police officers responded, and arrested Jamie Wieser, 45, police said.
Wieser was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a passenger 15 years old or younger, or Leandra's Law. She was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Wieser, of Centerport, was to be held at the Suffolk County Fourth Precinct station, and was to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
