Body of boater who disappeared in Long Island Sound recovered
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Investigators say the body of one of the two boaters who disappeared in the Long Island Sound off of Connecticut on Sunday has been recovered.
Westport Police say the remains of Juan Gabriel Valle Pineda were found around 4:30 p.m. Monday by Bridgeport Fire Department workers.
Pineda, of Spring Valley, New York, was one of five people in a small fishing boat that sank near Westport on Sunday. Three were rescued.
Police say they're hopeful the second missing person will be recovered.
