Long Island Father Accused Of DWI With 2 Kids In Car
NORTH HILLS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Nassau County Police arrested a Long Island man they say was driving drunk with his young children in the car.
According to officers, 41-year-old Vincent Gagliardi was pulled over on the service road of the Long Island Expressway in Roslyn Heights for alleged speeding at about 1 a.m. Saturday.
Gagliardi's 5-year-old and 12-year-old were also in the car.
Police said the officers determined the Little Neck man was intoxicated and arrested him. A family member picked up the children.
Gagliardi pleaded not guilty to numerous charges under Leandra's Law, including aggravated driving while intoxicated, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and other crimes.
He was arraigned in First District Court on Saturday.
