Long Island Congressman Peter King Mulls 2016 Presidential Bid
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Long Island Congressman Peter King is considering running for president in 2016.
King addressed his motivation and his would-be rivals in an interview with CNN.
"I'm looking at this because I see people like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz, and to me, I don't want the Republican Party going in that direction," King said, "I'll be back in New Hampshire on June 21, and when I saw Hillary Clinton yesterday I told her to get ready."
King, a Republican, is serving his 11th term in the House of Representatives.
