LIRR Service Restored After Signal Trouble West Of Woodside Station Snarls Morning Rush
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The Long Island Rail Road said signal trouble west of Woodside Station snarled service into Penn Station Wednesday morning.
The LIRR is experiencing signal trouble west of Woodside that could cause westbound delays of 5-10 minutes through the area. Maintainers are en route. We will update you shortly.

The trouble began during the morning rush hour at around 8 a.m. It prompted New York City Transit to cross-honor tickets at a number of stations.
Passengers took to Twitter to vent their frustration about the delays and subsequent crowds.

The LIRR said cross-honoring would stop at 10:30 a.m. and the situation has been resolved.
The LIRR is operating on or close to schedule into and out of Penn following earlier delays caused by signal trouble. Maintainers continue to work to resolve the issue. NYC Transit will discontinue cross-honoring at 10:30AM.
