Police: Man Points Gun At Driver In Roslyn Heights Road Rage Incident

ROSLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities are investigating a road rage incident in which a motorist pointed a gun at another driver on Long Island.

The 25-year-old victim was driving with his family on the Long Island Expressway in Roslyn Heights at 3 p.m. Monday when a motorist in a Honda Civic pulled in front of him and applied the brakes, police said.

When the victim pulled into the HOV lane to pass the Honda, the other driver pulled down his window and pointed a handgun at him before fleeing, police said.

Police are asking the public for help identifying the Honda driver, who is described as a white man in his late 20s with red hair.. They say the black four-door sedan has a Jets sticker in the rear window, tinted windows and New York registration plates.
