Sara Bareilles Accepts 'Waitress' Pie Challenge, Gets Pie'd In The Face For Breast Cancer Awareness
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Broadway is helping in the fight against breast cancer one pie at a time.
Since October is breast cancer awareness month, Komen NYC and 'Waitress' the musical have teamed up to help spread breast cancer awareness by launching the #WaitressPieChallenge.

Tony-award winning actress Jessie Mueller and "Glee" star Jenna Ushkowitz introduced the campaign in a video posted on Twitter.
Here's how it works:
1: Record a video of you accepting the pie challenge and getting pie'd in the face. You can also make a donation to Komen Greater NYC if being pie'd isn't your thing.
2: Upload the video to social media with the hashtag #WaitressPieChallenge.
3: Nominate three people to participate or donate to Susan G. Komen Greater NYC.
Before taking a pie in the face, Mueller nominated 'Waitress' composer Sara Bareilles, actor Andy Karl and actress Amy Adams. Bareilles accepted the challenge, along with "Waitress" actor Drew Gehling and took a pie in the face on Oct. 11.
