Knicks Rookie Porzingis Has NBA's 4th Best Selling Jersey

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The true popularity of Knicks rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis is coming into focus.

According to NBAStore.com, the 7-foot-3-inch Latvian has the league's fourth best selling jersey.

To put that into perspective, consider the other names in the top six. Golden State's Stephen Curry had the top-selling jersey from October through December, followed by Cleveland's LeBron James and the Lakers' Kobe Bryant. Porzingis is outselling Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant and Chicago's Derrick Rose. Those five players have combined to win the last eight MVP awards.

Porzingis, who is the only rookie among the top 15 best sellers, is averaging 14 points, 8 rebounds and 1.95 blocks per game.

Carmelo Anthony's jersey ranks 15th in sales.

The defending champion Golden State Warriors are first in team merchandise sales, followed by Chicago, Cleveland, the Lakers and the Knicks.
