Residents Frustrated With JFK Airport Workers Parking In Front Of Their Homes
HAMILTON BEACH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Residents in Hamilton Beach say they are fed up with JFK Airport employees who take up all the parking spaces in front of their homes.
As WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, residents claim the employees are parking in front of their homes and taking the AirTrain to work, leaving them no where to park when they return home from work at the end of the day.
"They're here all hours of the day," one resident said. "It's impossible to park. I come home at 5 o'clock, 6 o'clock, it's impossible."
And he said they're also making a mess.
"Coffee cups, garbage, I mean all over the place," he said.
"Aggravation, it's a lot of aggravation. You gotta park two blocks away from your own house," said Mario.
Two lawmakers hope to help solve the problem. They have asked the airlines to have employees park in Port Authority lots instead.
