Jets Sign Jamari Lattimore, Bring Back Ben Ijalana
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Jets have signed free agent linebacker Jamari Lattimore and re-signed offensive tackle Ben Ijalana.
Lattimore spent four seasons with Green Bay after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State in 2011. He started a career-high five games last season. Lattimore has 66 tackles, two sacks and an interception in 49 games with the Packers as mostly a backup and special teams player.
The 26-year-old had 38 tackles in 11 games in 2014.
Ijalana spent the past two years with the Jets, and played in three games last season. He was a second-round pick of Indianapolis in 2011 out of Villanova.
The Jets have added depth on the offensive line in free agency, re-signing Ijalana and guard Willie Colon, and signing guard James Carpenter and tackles Corey Hilliard and James Brewer.
