The allegations include drug trafficking, inmate assaults, evidence tampering and falsification of records, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.

The official said investigators searched inmate cells, common areas, locker rooms and about 100 correction officers entering and leaving the facility at shift change.

The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the official could not discuss an ongoing investigation.
