Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing At West 30th Street After Collision With Bird

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A helicopter had to make an emergency landing along the Hudson River Friday afternoon after colliding with a bird.

The Bell B407 helicopter was touring New York City when a bird flew into it about six miles west-southwest of LaGuardia Airport around 2:45 p.m. Friday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The helicopter had to make an emergency landing at the West 30th Street heliport on the Hudson River, the FAA said.

The FAA could not provide information on the condition of those on board.
